RLHS will celebrate D-Day with The Bells Go Down, a film with Tommy Trinder and James Mason It is a 1943 black-and-white film made by Ealing Studios, produced by Michael Balcon and directed by Basil Dearden. It was a tribute to the British Auxiliary Fire Service (AFS).
The reference in the title is to the alarm bells in the fire station that “go down” when a call is made.
