Maria Greenhill looks at the Great Exhibition of 1851 and the inventions of the Victorians. presenting her talk as if she was a Victorian and had been to the exhibition.
Maria has used original source materials – illustrations made at the time, photographs, newspaper reports and Queen Victoria’s diary – to take the modern visitor back in time and present the ‘Greatest wonder of the world’ from a Victorian perspective.
