The names of Parish Councillors who served between 1895 and 1977, their length of service and other notes, are listed in the following table.

It is interesting to note that in May 1968 certain members decided that they wished not to stand for re-election. The Electoral Registration Officer however declared them elected!

It would appear strange that Arthur Gough was dismissed for having been absent from meetings for more than six months consecutively as there had only been one meeting between his election and the one where he was dismissed. The records of attendance will show that at least one member of the Council that dismissed Mr Gough could have faced the same penalty. Also the question has to be asked why this penalty was enforced so quickly? This is compounded by Mr Hickson being re-elected after being co-opted after he had previously resigned.
