12 September – General Meeting in preparation for the Open Day

30 September – Open Day in Sherington Village Hall 12 – 5pm. Theme: Local Artists. Everyone welcome – Free admission. Also an opportunity to view the Society’s archives

10 October – General Meeting

14 November – ‘Old Newport and Sherington’- Slide Show by Ray Bailey and Philip Smith

12 December – Christmas Party – Games, wine and nibbles. Bring a photo of yourself as a child!

The regular monthly meetings are held in the Village Hall, starting at 8pm. New members are always welcome.

Possible additional events – to be confirmed:

  • A visit to Stockwood Park, Luton to view the ‘Dioramas’ by Tom Ivester-Lloyd on a Sunday afternoon in the Spring.
  • A visit to Derngate, Northampton to see the Bassett-Lowke house designed by Mackintosh, possibly in conjunction with the Thursday Group.
  • We also hope Neil Loudon from MK Heritage will be able to give a talk about the Boatyard at Stony Stratford.
