14 April 2009 – Family History Evening. A chance to chat about researching your family history

12 May 2009 – Members’ meeting – with archiving and chat

9 June 2009 – Informal get together – Bring some nibbles to Yew Tree Farm (members only)

27 June 2009 to 4 July – Scarecrow competition – Judging on 4 July. Winner announced at 3pm, Village Hall open from 2pm to 4pm

5 July 2009 (Sunday) – Walk to Tyringham – with Ray Bailey and Philip Smith

8 July 2009 (Wednesday) – Visit to Emberton Well and Tower Society. Talk by Canon Sedgewick about the Storer family of Emberton and Sherington – 7.15pm for 7.30pm at Emberton Pavilion

14 July 2009 – Activity evening – St Laud’s Churchyard from 7pm if weather permits, otherwise Village Hall as usual

21 July 2009 – Newport Pagnell Historical Society – walk around Sherington – with Philip Smith

August 2009 – No meeting

8 September 2009 – Members’ meeting – Open Day preparation

3 October 2009 (Saturday) – Open Day -‘ What Did You Do In The War, Sherington?’ – 12-4.30pm (set up from 10am)

13 October 2009 – ‘Operation Snap’ A talk about the Home Guard by Gerald Mann

10 November 2009 – Peter Gardner – Second tribute film show by Oliver Powell

8 December 2009 – Christmas Party – games, wine and nibbles (members only)

12 January 2010 – General members’ meeting

19 January 2010 – “January Jolly” outing – More details nearer the time

9 February 2010 – Talk with pictures by Alan Richardson. Subject to be finalized – Open evening

9 March 2010 – Annual General Meeting

The regular monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month (except August) in the Village Hall, starting at 8pm. New members are always welcome.

Committee meetings are generally held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, or the nearest convenient Tuesday.
