WH Board meetings
Three history Group members – Maureen Berry, Helen Westlake and Brenda Pittam spent some time in Aylesbury in the Buckinghamshire Record Office reading through Workhouse Board meeting minutes looking for interesting items.
Unfortunately the records of paupers admitted to the workhouse have long since disappeared, maybe because at the time the workhouse closed the board meetings were continued in Stony Stratford. (This is the reason why the board meeting minutes are in the Bucks record office and not the Northants record office.)
