WORLD WAR II, HOW IT AFFECTED THE VILLAGE
Those men that were in reserved occupations although not away fighting became involved in a variety of useful groups. Mr Jack Weston son of Charles Weston Moorend Manor Farm, belonged to the Royal Observer Corps as well as the village Home Guard.
