Medical & Benefit Club

 The Potterspury, Yardley Gobion and Furtho Medical and Benefit Club

It looks as if this may have started in 1841.  A small weekly subscription was paid by members allowing those that became ill to receive a weekly payment until they were better.  I believe this continued into the 1920s  maybe later as elderly people have told me that they remember people receiving the payment.
